The new office fitout boasts an inviting reception area marked by curved walls that gently guide visitors through the space. It includes a suite of versatile meeting rooms, some with an operable wall for flexibility, along with a connected kitchenette and updated bathroom facilities. The open-plan layout features unassigned desks complemented by focus rooms, lockers, collaboration booths, and meeting spaces, enhancing the diverse array of settings available. A significant social café space encourages team interaction, while other accessible facilities and a wellness room underline the commitment to inclusivity.
The workspace exudes warmth through the harmonious blend of timber, textures, colour, and plant elements. The design incorporates textured ambient plastered wall finishes, timber flooring, and curved details in the form of wall and acoustic panelling, as well as the reception desk. This consistent curvature from the overall space design down to the intricate details creates a cohesive aesthetic. The tactile appeal and depth added by these materials contribute to a visually pleasing and engaging office atmosphere.
The project's innovation lies in its activity-based design approach, providing distinct spaces tailored to specific tasks. Dedicated focus rooms, collaboration leaners equipped with whiteboards and technology, and integrated technology zones accommodate various work styles, supporting both in-house and remote employees. Thoughtfully integrated colour schemes define zones and promote a calm and soothing environment, contributing to overall well-being. The innovative use of materials, including textured walls, flooring, and acoustic panels, adds depth and dimension, elevating the overall workspace experience.
Overall, the transformation of this Legal Practice's workspace not only addresses the challenges presented by the pandemic but also demonstrates creativity and innovation in design. The resulting environment promotes collaboration, inclusivity, and well-being, while the careful use of materials and detailing adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the modernised workspace.
