Servcorp, a multinational organisation established in 1978, engaged Catalyst to fit out their new office in Wellington, New Zealand. The prestigious Bell Gully building was chosen as the ideal location for Servcorp's office due to its safety features and stunning waterfront views.
The success of this project was attributed to extensive planning before its commencement. Despite challenges, such as material substitutions necessitated by the Covid pandemic, a complicated ceiling in the co-working space, and a shortage of materials including GIB, Catalyst was proactive in addressing these obstacles. finding suitable alternatives and procuring materials before the project was even awarded to anyone. Catalyst collaborated closely with Servcorp's teams to ensure that the project's desired finishes and overall aesthetic were achieved.
Catalyst collaborated closely with Servcorp's teams to ensure that the project's desired finishes and overall aesthetic were achieved. Catalyst's designers and project managers worked closely with Servcorp's design and project teams in Australia to navigate the complex approvals and restrictions in New Zealand. They kept Servcorp updated on the project's progress, and weekly PCG meetings were held to ensure that the project was completed on time and within budget.
One unique feature of the project was the discovery of a cross-section of a kauri tree over a thousand years old that Catalyst incorporated into the co-working area table, becoming a conversation starter for potential clients.
Overall, Servcorp was delighted with the outcome and the collaboration with Catalyst, who helped them achieve their vision for a first-class office space in Wellington. Servcorp’s manager, interior design Keith Craig remarked that without Catalyst's expertise, it would have been challenging to complete the project within the deadline.
