Catalyst worked closely with the client team to identify opportunities for high reuse across the existing layout, furniture, and infrastructure. By taking a considered and strategic approach, we minimised waste and reduced programme time, while still delivering a meaningful transformation.
Key elements of the project included:
High Reuse Strategy
Retention of existing partitions, services, and furniture, carefully integrated into the new design.
Effective Use of Colour & Finishes
A curated palette of colours, finishes, feature lighting, graphics, and signage was introduced to reinvigorate the space and bring Volpara’s identity to life.
New Carpet Installation
Installation of new carpet throughout to refresh the environment, improve acoustics, and create a cohesive foundation.
Furniture Strategy & Procurement
Management of furniture procurement, including identifying opportunities to reuse existing items alongside the introduction of new workplace settings.
New Workplace Settings
Creation of a variety of environments to support different ways of working, including a large collaborative social hub, phone pods, and a quiet focus area enhanced by a spatial dividing curtain.
The result is a revitalised office that feels modern, cohesive, and distinctly aligned with Volpara’s brand, achieved without unnecessary waste or cost. Strategic interventions, including updated finishes, layered branding elements, and thoughtful spatial planning, have transformed the look and feel of the space.
The introduction of diverse workplace settings supports both collaboration and focused work, while the reuse-first approach reflects a commitment to more sustainable project delivery. The project demonstrates how considered design moves, rather than a full rebuild, can significantly elevate an existing workplace.
