Government Agency Head Office

This Government Agency had to exit their head office to allow for the landlord to carry out a seismic upgrade and used this opportunity to engage Catalysts expertise to revitalise their existing workplace. The brief was to transform their existing workplace to respond to hybrid working and undertake a complete modernisation of their existing fitout. Our comprehensive engagement briefing phase with the different business units allowed us to understand any unique requirements as well as different working styles to ensure the new working environment supports them.

Our in-house Catalyst designers showcased their abilities with a considered approach, reuse alot of the existing fitout and looked for ways to enhance the workplace, which included incorporating a large social cafe on each floor, VC rooms and collaboration spaces. Utilising our capabilities in 3D modelling allowed us to show a 3D flythrough of the design to the wider staff to truly be able to understand the transformation and help with the change process and build excitement.

A true benefit of our in-house Project Management (PM) allowed us to support IR by carrying out the role of Engineer to the contract working with a main contractor. The PM ensured the project milestones were maintained, financials were closely monitored, and being the main line of communication and reporting, channeling back to the client. For this large-scale project this service offering was beneficial to leverage off the landlord base build contractor already established in the building, while provided this client with confidence with an expert to manage the contract for a project of this complexity and scale.
