Catalyst was engaged by a market-leading software and technology business to revitalise an existing floor within their tower office, with a key goal: to create an inviting, functional space that would support a return-to-office culture.

Working closely with the clients of O-Studio Wellington, the brief was to create a calm, welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, movement, and connection, while also reflecting the studio’s brand and values. The space needed to feel restorative and inclusive, balancing functionality with a strong sense of warmth and care.

A 5,000m² purpose-built workplace uniting three existing offices into one central location. Rooted in Māori heritage and guided by sustainable, innovative design principles, the building stands as a forward-looking landmark for the Dunedin community.

Reviving a flood-damaged, long-abandoned medical centre, this project transformed a deteriorating building into a fully functional, modern healthcare facility, delivered in half the cost of a new build. By prioritising refurbishment over demolition, we preserved its deep community and cultural significance while creating a practical, future-ready space.

At Catalyst, we don’t just build structures; we create environments that foster community, collaboration, and innovation. We’re proud of what we accomplished with this local government agency and look forward to more projects that bring together culture, sustainability, and cutting-edge design.

Catalyst were engaged as design and build consultants for their Beaumont St, Auckland location. This would be the second major office project Catalyst would deliver for Crombie Lockwood (now Gallagher Insurance), the first being in Wellington, and smaller works in Whangarei and West Auckland.

Catalyst has delivered 50+ projects for Cityfitness, spanning from Invercargill to Whangarei.

We designed a studio space for a squad of dinos!

Dinosaur Polo Club is an independent video game developer based in Wellington. They’re a handful of lovely humans creating games with relatable simplicity. The past couple of years have seen their studio grow as they work on exciting new games and needed a new space to house their expanding squad of talented dinos.

We are proud to have completed a fitout for SLR Consulting who share our commitment to sustainability.

SLR Consulting are global sustainability leaders whose purpose is "Making Sustainability Happen" through expert advisors and specialists who tackle sustainability challenges. It was a great partnership to work together on this project where are values aligned, from collaboration, people, to the environment.

Our designers led an interactive design process, tailoring the workspace to meet unique business needs. Their use of 3D modeling engaged staff in the transformation of their existing space, while in-house project management ensured effective communication and oversight throughout this large-scale project.
